Arielle is in the fifth grade at the Park School and is the youngest in the class, but doesn’t let that stop her from being fully immersed in the Park community. Arielle is an excellent student who always makes academics her priority. In addition to her studies, Arielle is a well-rounded young lady who does a variety of activities. This year, Arielle joined the Lower School Lacrosse Team and has been playing lacrosse in local leagues for three years. Arielle also has just started writing for the school newspaper, The Bruin Times. Arielle has been a singer in the Park chorus for the past two years and this year has joined the Lower School band, playing the clarinet. In addition to the clarinet, she is also learning how to play the piano. Arielle also loves to dance and trains in classical ballet and has been dancing in all genres including tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop for five years. Arielle is also an actress who has appeared in local theater, print ads, commercials, TV, and film. Last year, she was the first child to create and have her own talk show on HCC-TV, called “Arielle’s A List” where she has interviewed people like the author of Diary of A Wimpy Kid, Jeff Kinney, and actress, Yara Shahidi, from Blackish.
Arielle’s Parent said: “Time has flown since three years ago when we first entered the B.E.S.T. program. If it weren’t for the program we would not have been afforded the opportunity to send Arielle to the Park School. The Park School embodies the spirit of Arielle’s personality. We love the Park School and it is a perfect fit for Arielle because it encourages creativity, leadership, and personal growth. We are so grateful and happy that she is a B.E.S.T. scholar and it is truly an honor to be in this wonderful program that promotes the excellence of African-American students.”
