Reginald F. Lewis was an American businessman born in Baltimore, MD. Lewis graduated from Virginia State College in 1965 and from Harvard Law School in 1968. He and associates created Wall Street’s first African American law firm. Lewis purchased the international division of Beatrice Foods and, in 1987, TLC Beatrice reported $1.8 billion in revenue, becoming the first black owned business to pass the billion-dollar mark. Lewis established The Reginald F. Lewis Foundation, which funded grants of approximately $10 million to various non-profit programs and organizations and in June 2005, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture opened in Baltimore, Maryland. Click here to read more about Reginald F. Lewis:http://www.reginaldflewis.com/
