B.E.S.T. Celebrates the Holidays with Our Families
December 6, 2014
B.E.S.T. hosted our annual Family Holiday Party on Saturday, December 6th at Calvert School. Over 150 B.E.S.T. family members came together to celebrate the holiday season, decorate cookies, and meet friends new and old. We also took time to celebrate members of the Class of 2015 as they prepare for their final semester in Upper School. Dora, a senior at St. Paul’s School for Girls, was the highlight of the afternoon as she shared her B.E.S.T. story with our guests. Dora joined the B.E.S.T. family as a 6th grader and over the past six years, she has participated in many B.E.S.T. events and programs, including the Young Adult Dale Carnegie Leadership Program which she says “broke me out of my shell and allowed me to do things I would have never done.” She appreciates her B.E.S.T. experience, expressing that “if not for B.E.S.T., I may not have received the education I have today, or been exposed to certain opportunities and experiences.” Dora is a member of St. Paul’s School for Girls’ Competitive Dance Team, President of the Black Awareness Club, and captain of her school’s hip hop and jazz dance team. We are so proud of Dora and of all of our B.E.S.T. students!
