Alumni Open House

College-aged B.E.S.T. Alumni returned to B.E.S.T. this week to update us and each other on their college experiences thus far. Alumni from Boys’ Latin School, Bryn Mawr School, Garrison Forest School, Gilman School, Key School, Park School, Roland Park Country School, St. Paul’s School, and St. Paul’s School for Girls enjoyed lunch and each other’s company. Kiera Davis (RPCS ’11) who graduated last week from Carnegie Mellon University reminded her peers about the importance of internships, and she encouraged them to cherish these four years of college while balancing hard work with social activities. She will begin her work as a Field Engineer at Hensel Phelps in Fort Meade, Maryland in just two weeks.

Our B.E.S.T. Alumni are enjoying a variety of enriching experiences, meeting people from all over the world, and taking challenging courses. Their selected majors include Biology, Criminal Justice, Finance, and Computer Science, and they are attending some of the most competitive colleges and universities in the country including: Barnard College, Carnegie Mellon University, Colgate University, Coastal Carolina University, University of Redlands, and University of Pennsylvania.

It was wonderful to see these students again, some after their freshman year and some as they graduate from college and move on to the next phase of their lives. As one alum shared, “coming to B.E.S.T. today felt like coming home!
