B.E.S.T. & Gilman School Host a FAFSA Workshop for 12th Grade Parents

February 6, 2016

On Saturday, February 6, 2016, B.E.S.T. partnered with Gilman School to host a College Financial Aid Forms Workshop for Class of 2016 parents.  Carl Ahlgren, Director of College Counseling for Gilman School, secured seven financial aid professionals from area colleges to share their expertise with parents as they completed the necessary FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  Jennifer Coveney, Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Johns Hopkins University, started the morning by welcoming the parents on behalf of her colleagues. Parents then had the opportunity to receive individualized support from financial aid experts from Goucher College, Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University Maryland, and University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  Thank you, Carl, for bringing this impactful event to B.E.S.T..
