B.E.S.T. Student Selected to Attend 2017 Telluride Association Sophomore Seminar

We are delighted to share that Kofi W., Gilman class of ’19, has been selected to participate in the 2017 Telluride Association Sophomore Seminar (TASS) that will be held at Cornell University. With an acceptance rate of 13%, Kofi was one of 56 sophomore students selected from around the country to attend this prestigious college-level seminar on topics related to critical Black and ethnic studies. Kofi will spend six weeks studying on campus this summer.

Additionally, Kofi won the 2017 Elizabeth Woolsey Gilman Prize, one of Gilman’s oldest and most honored awards, which is awarded to a first year or sophomore student who shows the best critical appreciation of the designated reading requirements.
