Dajuan is a junior at The Boys Latin School of Maryland where he is doing an exceptional job. I’m constantly giving him stretch goals to continue to maximize his efforts. The partnership between the staff and I has been great in order to get the best out of Dajuan. At the initial interview at Boys Latin with the head of admissions we felt this was a great fit for Dajuan and it has been nothing short of amazing. Boys Latin has taught Dajuan that learning is fun instead of hard so this enables him to learn easier and gives him the confidence to take on anything academically. Dajuan has surprised me by becoming pretty fluent at Spanish. Additionally, Dajuan has been part of athletics at BL and contributed to a junior varsity football championship during his first year. The key two takeaways that really warmed my heart as a parent is Dajuan’s active involvement in the diversity club and his invitation to visit Princeton University.
Dajuan’s Parent said: “Simply saying ‘I’m appreciative’ would be a huge understatement for how my son and I feel to be a part of the B.E.S.T. Family. From the moment we walked through the B.E.S.T. doors everyone was welcoming, attentive to our specific needs, and genuine. I don’t look at them as an organization, I look at them as family and I’m honored to be part of the family.
