SAT Prep
Date: Sundays, January 13, 2019 – Sunday, March 17, 2019
Time: 11:00am – 3:00pm; 5:00pm – 9:00pm
Location: Capital Educators at either McDonogh School or St. Paul’s School for Girls
Description: Preparation for the SAT and ACT provided for free through special funding to all B.E.S.T. Juniors.

Leadership Storytelling Workshop: The Lion’s Side with David Fakunle ’05

Description: David Fakunle ’05, co-founder and CEO of DiscoverME/RecoverME: Enrichment Through the African Oral Tradition, presents a Leadership Storytelling Workshop for all Upper School students.

College Tour

Location: St. Mary’s College of Maryland
Description: Day trip sponsored by B.E.S.T. to visit local colleges/universities for B.E.S.T. 9th – 11th grade students and parents.

The Hate U Give Screening
Date: Sunday, March 31, 2019
Time: 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Location: Park School
Description: B.E.S.T. will be screening George Tillman Jr.’s “The Hate U Give” and hosting a discussion of the movie afterwards. Boxed lunches will be provided.

7th Annual .edu Project Professional Development Workshop – Supporting First Generation College-Bound Students

Description: Workshop for college support professionals, nonprofit leadership, and college admissions staff, in partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools and Johns Hopkins University

Summer Scholars for Middle and Upper School Students
Date: Tuesday, June 25 – Friday, July 26, 2019
Time: 8:15am – 3:30pm
Location: Roland Park Country School
Description: Annual five week academic enrichment and transition program for newly enrolled rising middle and upper school students.


New Parent Welcome Event
