Redmond C.S. Finney Young Men’s Leadership Program Donor Dinner
May 8, 2012
On Tuesday, May 8th, the Baltimore Educational Scholarship Trust honored Redmond Finney and the creation of the Redmond C.S. Finney Young Men’s Leadership Program of B.E.S. T. at a dinner. In 2010, the Young Men’s Leadership Program at B.E.S.T. was established to support our young men as they consider leadership, character and integrity. Named in honor of Redmond Finney, the program exposes our young men to civic engagement opportunities and an exploration of leadership through shared experiences.
Funders of the Finney Leadership Program and special friends joined to honor Mr. Finney and celebrate the success of the Program’s first two years, as well as look ahead to the future of the Program. John Schmick, Michael Weinfeld, Ed Trusty, Johnnie Foreman and Stu Simms shared stories about Mr. Finney, and how his lifelong commitment to African-American young men has changed independent schools and Baltimore.
