Kellsie is not only an active member of her community at Bryn Mawr, but she has taken on many leadership roles as well. Kellsie is heavily involved in student government and has been elected class president all three years of middle school. She is also one of the leaders of Bryn Mawr’s Black Student Union. Even though she is active in many extracurricular activities, Kellsie still manages to excel in her academics and has maintained straight As. Because of her academic excellence, Kellsie was selected as a Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholar. At Bryn Mawr, Kellsie has tried her hand at many sports, including tennis, volleyball, basketball, and softball. She has also participated in Bryn Mawr’s dance company. Kellsie enjoys many things about Bryn Mawr, but what she enjoys most are her supportive teachers. If she ever has any questions, they are always willing to help her.

Outside of school, Kellsie has been dancing for nine years at the Jean Kettell Dance Studio – exploring the styles of ballet, tap, and jazz. She enjoys fashion and spends most of her time modeling in her modeling group, the Couture Doll Models.

Kellsie’s Parent says: Kellsie attended the B.E.S.T. Summer Scholars program before her first year at Bryn Mawr.  I remember when Kellsie came home from school around the second quarter of sixth grade and she said that she was so happy that she attended the summer program because the study skills that she learned helped her achieve straight As.  As a B.E.S.T. parent, I am happy that my daughter utilizes the skills that she learned to help her to study and get good grades!
