SAT Prep (Online)  
Date: Saturdays, September 10 – October 31, 2020 OR
Sundays, September 20, 2020 – Sunday, November 15, 2020
Time: Students are assigned to one 2-hour class period
Location: Capital Educators via Zoom platform
Description: Preparation for the SAT and ACT provided for free through special funding to all B.E.S.T. Juniors.

Maximizing the College Counseling Experience, Featuring Paula Dofat as Keynote

Time: 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Location: Zoom
Description: A facilitated conversation led by Paula Dofat, Director of College Counseling at the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women. 9-12th grade students and their parents will learn about ways to maximize resources related to the college search process and how to get the most out of the partnership with the college counseling staff at their member school.

Gilman Black Alumni Leadership Institute (GBALI)
Molly Hathaway Young Women’s and Redmond C.S. Finney Young Men’s Leadership Program
Date:  Saturdays, October 2020 – March 2021
Time: 8:45am -12:00pm
Location:  Gilman School
Description: Leadership program for upper school students emphasizing educational and career choices and the importance of interpersonal relationships and personal accountability. Applications are required for selection to this program and will be made available in mid-summer 2020.

FAFSA 101 Zoom Information Session with Q&A for B.E.S.T. Class of 2021 Parents
Date: October 10, 2020
Time: 10:00 am
Location: Zoom
Description: An information session for parents of seniors to learn more about the FAFSA process and the steps to take to prepare for successfully completing the application. Under the direction and expertise of a college financial aid professional and Member School Counseling staff, participants will have an opportunity to ask questions about the process in advance and during the session.
