Meet the Alumni Associate

Enuma Igweatu joined the B.E.S.T. team in July 2011 as an Admissions/Alumni Associate.

Born and raised in Bronx, New York, Enuma pursued her Bachelor’s degree in English with an additional focus on Educational Studies at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the Admissions team at B.E.S.T., Enuma worked in the Haverford College Admission Office as the Multicultural Liaison, coordinating visit programs and managing events for prospective students of color. She also worked closely with academic Deans and student experience directors on residential placement, program development, search committees, and freshman orientation.

A highlight of Enuma’s early career includes developing a college prep and creative arts program for seniors at Parkway West High School in association with Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College. She also presented a collaborative research paper on alternative learning spaces at the 2011 American Educational Research Association Conference.

Enuma is passionate about helping students achieve their fullest potential. It is especially rewarding for her to work with B.E.S.T. alumni and see first-hand how their independent school education has contributed to their success.
