7th Annual Leaders on Leadership Breakfast

November 7, 2019

What a wonderful morning for B.E.S.T.! Nearly 100 B.E.S.T. Upper School students gathered with 90 civic and community leaders at the Center Club in downtown Baltimore for the 7th Annual B.E.S.T. Leaders on Leadership Breakfast.

We began by honoring one of our co-founders, the late Redmond C.S. Finney, who passed away this summer. This annual Breakfast is named for Mr. Finney and        Molly Hathaway, and encourages our upper school students to consider their leadership journeys while spending time with some of Baltimore’s most outstanding corporate, philanthropic and educational leaders.

Richelle Parham, Operating Partner of Camden Partners, and Shane Tanzymore,    St. Paul’s School and B.E.S.T. Alumnus, Class of 1991, were our honored speakers for the morning. Richelle and Shane shared meaningful messages with our students, funders, member school representatives, and partners.

Shane shared inspiring insight into leadership and empathy, and how those characteristics have led him to many personal and professional successes. Richelle discussed the importance of having guides and mentors to help us get where we need to be, and how her time spent at The Bryn Mawr School prepared her for opportunities that would arise in the future. As it does every year, this year’s            Leaders on Leadership Breakfast presented such a special opportunity to spend time and connect with our amazing B.E.S.T. students as they look toward their future.

A special thank you to Karlo Young, B.E.S.T. Board President; David Faus,            Head of St. Paul’s School and B.E.S.T. Trustee; and John Timken, B.E.S.T. Trustee. The morning was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our students and alumni and to strengthen B.E.S.T.’s relationship with our funders, partners, and friends.
