B.E.S.T. Family Holiday Party

December 9, 2025

Last weekend more than 300 B.E.S.T. family members and students gathered at The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland to kick off the holiday season together. The event began with a special gathering for Senior families, where the Class of 2026 was recognized as soon-to-be Alumni. Families heard a heartfelt letter from B.E.S.T. Deputy Director and B.E.S.T./Garrison Forest Alumna Crystal Lee ’96, who encouraged students to pay it forward and support younger B.E.S.T. students as they grow. Seniors took part in a “give back” ceremony, offering their first symbolic gift to B.E.S.T. to Jess Suriano, Executive Director, and receiving a B.E.S.T. Alumni lapel pin from Peggy Bittner, Director of Programs and Alumni Relations, to mark the moment.

As the holiday party began, families heard inspiring remarks from B.E.S.T. St. Paul’s Senior Aamir E., who spoke about staying true to himself and keeping his inner spark strong throughout his independent school experience. The entire Senior Class was then honored in front of the community, with each student introducing themselves and sharing how many years they have been part of B.E.S.T. With 27 Seniors in attendance, it was a standout moment as they look ahead to their graduation in June. The celebration continued with holiday music from DJ DPTJR including the ever-popular Motown bingo, hot cocoa, holiday-themed crafts, a photo booth and senior family portraits by Jason Jones Photography; as well as a delicious meal from Santoni’s Catering. Thank you to B.E.S.T. Board President Karlo Young for offering his affirmation and encouragement to Seniors and younger students alike.

Thank you to Boys’ Latin’s Head of School, Chris Post and the Boys’ Latin community for hosting, and to the B.E.S.T. Trustees and their families for joining us for this memorable celebration.

B.E.S.T. wishes to all this holiday season!
