The Color Purple at the Kennedy Center
August 25, 2018
On August 25th, eighty Upper School students and parents spent the afternoon in Washington, D.C. at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for a live performance of The Color Purple. Families were thrilled to also be joined by several local B.E.S.T. alumnae for the day. Prior to the performance, families were treated to a comprehensive tour of the Kennedy Center which included a walk-through of the Hall of Nations and Hall of States, a stop on the terrace overlooking the Potomac River, as well as a glimpse at one of the Presidential suites and box seating areas. The highlight for students and parents alike was the amazing and moving performance by actors who shared their incredible talents with a very captive audience!
